Video Entertainment for Aged Care Residents
I am currently, with the help of Pat H Wilson and several of the dedicated staff at the aged care facility I volunteer have put together the first of what we hope will be a regular feature for the residents, we've called it Fringe Fun for the Wise Ones. Although this first video is site specific we hope to be able to continue producing videos to entertain these valued members of society who no longer have the facility to travel to venues. We started by asking friends in the entertainment industry to send us a video or a link to a performance that gave us permission to use inhouse. ie it will not be publicly produced or viewed anywhere other than an inhouse entertainment sydtem. We hope to offer the virtual entertainment packages to other aged care facilities in the hope that we can provide some much needed entertainment to while a way an hour or two.
We are currently looking for sponsorship, philanthropic support or maybe even another video of a song, a poem or piece of theatre/clowning that can go towards the next virtual variety show we put together for our eager seniors. The response so far has been overwhelming and we are so grateful.
